Be the One has been saving and changing lives in Palm Beach County since 1992. Over the years, we have educated hundreds of thousands of students on how to have healthy relationships as well as to avoid high-risk behaviors. We are a not-for-profit program with a proven track record of effectiveness, a positive reputation for professionalism and for maintaining a high-quality program in the community.

Emphasizing character development and leadership skills, Be the One encourages youth to say “yes” to healthy relationships and to say “no” to high-risk behaviors such as alcohol and drug use, sexual activity, and violence. As the prevention department of First Care Family Resources, it is among our aims to reduce teen pregnancy, to reduce the proportion of teen’s engaging in sexual activity and other high-risk behaviors, to reduce the number of youth contracting sexually transmitted infections, and to reduce the number of youth who experience the negative emotional consequences associated with early sexual activity.

Be the One values young people as strong contributors to society and knows that they can make healthy decisions when equipped with education, encouragement, support, and training. No matter what their past has been, Be the One sees the hope in every young person and knows that it is never too late to change one’s life.
